Pokemon Chronicles

Pokemon Chronicles was a spin off show aired around the same time as the pokemon advance series. The majority of this series focused on the adventures of the minor/old characters.
Characters such as Richie from the original series, and some of the minor characters such as Professor Oak starred in this series.
As well as this, pokemon chronicles also contained a couple of extra episodes starring a new trainer, which seems to take place in the Johto region. The character also seems to be the same character featured in the pokemon gold and silver games for the game boy colour.
