One of the most important things when using your computer, and surfing the internet is security.

So to help you keep your computer safe, below is a list of security software that i suggest using, and personally use myself :).

Anti Virus

AVG
AVG is a very good anti virus program, it is easy to use and is free! (Although there are bigger packages that you can buy)

Firewall

Zone Alarm
Zone alarm is another free, simple to use and setup piece of software.(Zone alarm like AVG, also offers larger packages that you can buy)

Website Advisers

McAfee SiteAdviser, AVG LinkScanner(comes with avg anti virus software) and WOT
These three are all firefox add ons (they may or may not be supported in other browsers) that tell you about 'dodgy' links when you are using a search engine. Whether it contains harmful downloads, contains rude content, or can give you adware/spyware, these three can help you know what sites to steer free from.
